I am a convert to any religious holiday that gives me an extra day to do chores, run and also includes organized events (by the City and others) for the kids. On Sunday, we ventured to the easter egg hunt and the kids found a lot of empty plastic eggs which they exchanged for choclate eggs. Donald and the Macs was also at the event. The event reminded me of the number of times when you can't restraint the little ones from overindulgence. Of course, there is bound to be some running around before and after the choclate eating.
For me, I ran back home after first vetting then eating the kids choclate. I retraced the TC 10 K route along the water while enjoying the scenery. I bumped into Rob who waved before I recognized him and came to a screeching halt. I owe Rob a race or two as he paced me to a new p.b. last year at the TC 10 K. This year, he is focusing on the triathlon and I am sure he will be ready. Rob was complementary saying that I looked fit but as with any athletic endevour, looking fitness sometimes does not equal being fit. In short, fitness is always relative and bound within the individual. I feel fit but not as fit as I would like to be as there is always room for improvement.
Today, I was out for a 00:30:00 run around Swan Lake. Two minutes into the ran, I had hailing rain, sunshine and blowing winds. in short, I faced the type of weather that makes you wonder what to wear. I survived and I am back indoors with a warm chai in my hand.
